Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal is a safe and effective treatment designed to permanently reduce unwanted dark facial and body hair. Targeted light energy is delivered to the hair follicle, where it is absorbed by pigment and converted to heat—disabling future hair growth while preserving the surrounding skin.
The Motus Pro high-speed laser utilizes the proprietary Moveo technology, to deliver just enough heat to the desired target without damaging the surrounding tissue. The Moveo handpiece features a large spot size to cover more surface area, a cool sapphire tip and was designed to allow 100% energy absorption. Many other laser systems emit large amounts of energy reflected by the skin, reducing the therapeutic energy transfer. The gradual heating and contact cooling help to eliminate the “rubber band” sensation associated with most other laser hair removal devices.
This device features two wavelengths, the 755nm Alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG for customizable treatments for all skin tones.
Because hair grows in cycles, a series of treatments—spaced several weeks apart—is required for optimal results. Over time, hair regrowth becomes finer, lighter, and significantly reduced.
Treatments are quick, painless and with little to no downtime. A consultation is required prior to treatment to assess skin type, hair type, and treatment eligibility to create a customized plan.
**Contraindications include: pregnant, compromised immune system, light sensitivity, epilepsy, inflammation/infection in the treatment area, history of keloid formation/hypertrophic scarring, history of herpes simplex, recent tanning or excessive sun exposure. Patients currently taking antibiotics, NSAIDs, antidepressants, blood thinners, oral contraceptives, corticosteroids, retinoids, Biotin, Keratin, Vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, & ginko biloba should inform the provider.
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal treatment that uses a fine probe to deliver controlled electrical energy directly into the hair follicle, destroying its ability to produce future hair growth. Electrolysis is effective on all hair colors and skin types, including light, gray, red, and fine hairs.
This precise treatment targets individual hair follicles, making it ideal for small or delicate areas. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are required to permanently eliminate treated hairs. Treatment frequency and duration depend on the area and density of hair growth. Topical numbing can be applied prior to treatment to minimize discomfort, upon request.
Electrolysis can also be used for skin tags, broken capillaries, and seborrheic keratosis. A consultation is required prior to treatment to assess candidacy and develop a customized treatment schedule.
**Contraindications include: metal allergies.
